    What do the colored numbers next to buildings mean? I thought they were government types but the numbers go up to eight.

    It's like DIY furniture: 1 connects to 1; 2 connects to 2 -- and after either a lot of cursing & swearing you've got almost but not quite something unlike what it was supposed to be; or you've managed to make it all fit together.

    The latter obviously is the case with JMRC's building trees. Also, take a look at the rightmost box containing some explanation of what various signs mean.
