I had a problem with CTD with BI. I have not had a ctd since I reinstalled without BI.

I've had the same CTD in the fall of 272. Dentatus is made (or given) "Auctoritas". I hit the recruitment button in Rome ... CTD. No BI, by the way.

EDIT: I thought I would try to move Dentatus out of the city. How to do it? Aha! Instead of hitting the recruitment tab, I'll hit the "Army" tab! That ought to do it!

Concerning my CTD, the savegame file is:

As stated before, the crash occurs every time I attempt to open recruitment in Roma. It's 271bc, and Manius Dentatus is in the city.

Well my general (and family chief) died a few years later and the CTD didn't happen again. So I believe he was bugged.
Since then everything works fine :)

Thanks a lot to OldGamer, who spotted the Auctoritas trait on his faction leader, this was verified to be the cause of the CTD . Please pick up the permanent fix in the thread linked in my sig.
