Well it is a console cheat.
I only do it when I dont feel like screwing around.
Every single turn that i feel like it
i don't see the point in making a game easy, it just makes all my effort and time wasted. i could easily go into the script and give my self a million mnai a turn but that would be pointless, i would never have to make decisions. do i make a road or a temple? who cares, it doesnt even matter, i have the funds for anything.
it seems i think the same as people cheating and changing the reforms. why would i want to lose all the units in the middle? i play eb for the reforms and for the immense amount of unit(among many others things) and i want to discover all the features. also, i play for historical accuracy so why would i want to play unhistorical, especially in a game that just barely runs on my computer.
but thats just me. i have little care on how others play this amazing mod. it doesn't affect me the least bit, but when i see all these threads on easy money and skipping reforms, i wonder why i have no intentional on doing that, while others do.
and i also have no idea why i told everyone this. what a useless post. haha
I give money cheats and use Auto_win when I'm in debt and have no way out and when theres a random rebel army not even worth messing with respectively.
it can be useful to check what certain buildings will give you when completed. eg in the last build, playing as the haysadan there was no point in building elite level barracks in many cities in the middle east as you would only ever be able to build one levy spearmen at most. if i had spent my own money to test thyis out i would have been very annoyed.
Let me clear my postion by saying this....
I cheat so i can enjoy every part of the game from the camalian to fighting as Epiros for my life
20 turn campaigns are not fun winning or losing. Belive it or not I like losing too, and i learned that from this game which is trulyt awesome in eveyway
I completly agree, a game is a chalange, that's what makes it fun.Originally Posted by iwwtf_az

No, your opinion counts, thats the whole point of these boards, to tell people of your opinion.and i also have no idea why i told everyone this. what a useless post. haha![]()
@Pez and MAA, I have considered loans at various times but never done it because I feel that I would have to do interest, and that is to compliaced for me to be bothered keeping track of, especaily when just clinging to existence, which is when I would want a loan.
Possibly something could be acheived by way of a script, eg if you open up the economic breakdown window and press the ? then press show me how on the advisor, triggers a script to give you 10k, then takes away 11k in 10 turns or something. Wouldn't be perfect though as I can't think of anyway to have it continuing if you have to load the game. I think that it should be considederd for eb2 though, with m2tw's continuous scripts.

My red balloons, as red as the blood of he who mentioned Galatians.
Roma Victor!
Yous ee gishes?
I use add money to buy provinces from other factions and then give them to a third faction afterwards.
"urbani, seruate uxores: moechum caluom adducimus. / aurum in Gallia effutuisti, hic sumpsisti mutuum." --Suetonius, Life of Caesar
I always reset money to zero when playing the Sweboz, Pontos or Armenia after conquering the homelands around. Waiting until the treasury has recovered from -40,000 is no real fun (it's no challange either, because either you are left alone and everything is fine, or you are attacked by AS and the game is over).
This is rediculous. No one at all should use these cheats, unless ofcourse met with unreasonable circumstances in some of the above mentioned. But for those just looking for some extra bucks, its just wrong. Why cant you just play like men? I always play Romans and in my new 1.0 campaign Rome had a bit of a great depression but I stuck through it. I didnt go into the negatives however because of my brilliant economic srategy(which really helps to have). I could only field one whole legion and wiped Epiros off the map with it.
And after that it was all up hill from there.
So you see, there is no reason for cheats. Just focus on economic structures and rough out the hard times. Oh yeah and dont forget to use those diplomats to keep the peace in your times of military weakness. If I hadnt used my diplomat correctly one Gallic army could have taken the entire Italian peninsula while my army was campaigning in Greece, and that would have sucked.
