The recruitment of Pezetharoi

I've probably spelt it wrong but i'm sure you educated people will no what i mean. what i want to know is ... is the recruitment of pezetharoi restreicted to hellenic capitals eg. pella, antioch, alexandreia and baktria because i've only ever recruited pezetharoi in those cities, and have only been able to recruit in those cities.

I have a related question. Why can I (as Makedonia) recruit Argyraspides in more provinces than Pezhetairoi? Aren't Argyraspides the Pezhetairoi elite?

And to answer Frodge's question. They're mostly restricted to the capitals yes, but you can also recruit them in Seleuceia and Demetrias.

yes pezhetairoi are recruitable only in a very limited number of provinces, I suppose the only ones with a consistent number of macedonians (and greeks maybe, for the eastern ones)

It's a shame Makedon doesn't have any klerouchai phalangitai. But then, from the point of view in my campaign, it's all for the best. Less phalanxes means less casualties...

oh, they get them in quite a lot of eastern provinces,
Lydia Phrygia, Syria, Phoenicia... and some more.

Why are the argyraispides so much more abundant, though?

When ever my Seleukid empire gets above a certain treasury, I ussualy switch to argyraspidai as my main phalagnite, it is the only way to deal with the logistics of the Seleukid empire, when the AI is doing its stuff and gang banging you...
