How do you change your Online Name?

I have created a New Gamespy Profile.
But i can only logon as Hachiman.
If i change the Online Name to my Profile name'it says i cannot log on.

GameSpy lets many people share a single profile name, but if I remember correctly (this stuff confuses even us) only one person can log in with it at a time. We take this a step further by storing the email name of the user against the profile name the first time that profile logs into Medieval.

So you can play Medieval using any number of profiles, but if someone else plays with a profile first, it won't let any other email address log in with it.

So: someone else may have already used the new profile you've created. Or: it could be a bug. If you post the other name you've created, I'll check on Monday whether someone else has "registered" it.

I have changed my online nick 2 times to the same email addy and I have no problem logging on.

Still no luck with this.

I have changed the Gamespy profile.

But once i start MTW and click on Multiplay my Online Name must be Hachiman or it won't let me log on.

Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?
