The EB Recruitment Veiwer is probably the best supplement to EB ever. I was wondering what program you used to create it, and how easy is to use? Is it available online or do you have to buy the program? Thanks for any answers.

Recruitment Viewer is wrtten in C++ using wxWidgets GUI Library.

All components needed to write C++ applications using wxWidgets are freely available. But this is programming so its not easy.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm completely new to programming, so would you be able to recommend an easier program with similar abilities?

What do you mean by similar abilities? I am a bit confused.

If you prefer Java to C++, you should take a look at Swing. I used this for my "main" project, while it's not really straightforward to program against, you can easily see results of what you do. I've used it successfully later, although a command-line UI is a lot easier to program if you just want simple user input like I did with the validation tool. Go ahead and JAD it if you want to see how, but be warned that the code isn't necessarily clean.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

I do NOT answer PM requests for help with EB. Ask in a new help thread in the tech help forum.

I have a question about the unit cards. Any idea when/if those will be available for RV for EB 1.1?

Also have you thought of just using the EB data files as a source for doing the unit cards programmatically? This would eliminate the need to redo the cards for each release.

I am working on them, but due to RL issues, this has not made it into the release. I plan to release the 1.1 units on their own.

I don't think there is an easy way to do this automatically, but hopefully there won't be many updates in the future.
