    Default About Base farming level

    Hi!

    I took Ajaccio just now, and checked the base farming level (I'm always interested in that). It was 1,5. Then I decided to turn the castle into a city, and the farming level became 2. Is this supposed to happen?

    Yes, castles have only 70% of the farming output if compared to cities.

    From desc_settlement_mechanics.xml

    <factor name="SPF_FARMING_LEVEL">
    <pip_modifier value="1.0"/>
    <castle_modifier value="0.7"/>
    </factor>

    That is done to make sure that cities have a higher pop growth than castles on average

    Otherwise, you'd get a citadel waaay too fast, and just thinking about having to take citadel after citadel in the late game makes the mind boggle.
