For regional barracks, those in the same culture allow you to immediately recruit units.

For factional barracks, those factions that are similar enough to your own can immediately allow you to recruit units.

In all cases, read the barracks description to understand who "shares" any particular barracks.

    I know that,
My point was -- Why (or before two posts - is) shouldnt there be an option to build Nomeland resource and than use existing barracks..

Imagine some Celts invaded a piece of Hellenic homeland, and set up MICs for recruiting Celtic soldiers. Those MICs would be making Celtic gear and training in Celtic ways. If a Hellenic nation then reconquers that province, the Celtic gear and training would be useless to them.

Yes, I know that (do i did not wrote it), I think that we should make one big difference from Barbarians and Nomads- to others civilised factions.. Right?
So Maybe all Hellenic factions should be able to use other hellenic barracks -- especialy if there is ahomelande resource... But let us say -- not Barbarians or if you prefer romans --
The point ( )is that it is a part of the game that is realy unrealistics, ... if Makedonija are in Asia Minor, why can they use Seleucid barracs? End do not post here saying that 'there are no macedonians in asia minor' -- that does not matter, the only thing that should matter are 'map compatible unit constructions', and therefore if you have (and you do) the same type of infantry seleucids have -- you can use it , yes

...i will fix all that after some eb 1 patches

Makedonia should not be able to use any Seleucid barracks.

A lot of what you are talking about relates to the painfully acrobatic coding we needed to do behind the scenes to keep expansion slow and recruitment to a per-region basis. We can't easily change that without fundamentally destroying the core of the EB recruitment and slow expansion systems - both of which are fundamental to EB - but if you plan to do so as part of an unofficial mod, good luck.

Though you are bound to screw up somewhere.... Man those files amount to Megs of code for a reason.

Anyhow: this is not quite as unrealistic as you may well think. MIC's are an abstract representation of a way to recruit troops. Encomprising all the industry & logistics & management a faction may have needed to; represent through one "building". It's more like building up the social & economical model required to recruit troops your own factional way.

Calling upon regional troops is therefore a cultural defined thing to do (Romans would organize them as socii and/or auxilia; Western greek factions would use the polis-system; and Eastern Greek factions have yet another (albeit partially derived form Western Greek examples) way to do so.)

Factional troops however represent the troops you would recruit for your main military: garrison & campaigning armies. Those explicitly rely on a faction-wide "homogenous" system of acquiring everything needed to raise an army and support it with provisions etc. As far as money is concerned this is also represented through the cost of units; but as far as the underlying management goes this is what the MIC is for. The social & economic structure is what is represented through Governments; which determines the level of MIC (hence the level of central management) can be imposed on the region.

The Governments, in turn, are bound to the level of cultural; ethnic & social similarity to your own society prior to your conquest. Within the limitations of the game engine (it's all black or white; rather than a grayscale) this is a very accurate way of portraying the characteristics of the relationship between the "ruling-center/class" & the masses below, fine-tuned for each faction.

Please read the Homeland description in the game. It is not something you can build.
