    Default Inventing gunpowder

    Hi, it seems that every time I play a game of Medieval 2 I never seem to make it to the gunpowder era so I thought I changed the date for when gunpowder was invented. But its not working out I edited the descr_events and put an 80 next to gunpowder_invented and instead it was invented on turn 40. What am I doing wrong? any advice would be very helpful.

    The number you are editing is "years" from start. Since (unmodded) 1 turn equals 2 years, you have to account for it.

    Examples:
    I think the Mongols are around "128"-- whch means turn 64
    Gunpowder is "210"-- or turn 105
    Etc.

    Of course there are often two numbers to give a "range" for something can happen.
