Is CA Oz going to be out of the job?

This Kind of ties in with the thread about "When the options are over for CA..."

I'm inquisitive to know, Empire: Total War is being made by CA UK, does this mean that our friends at CA Australia will be out of thier jobs before too long?

I ponder this because:

- Empires new game engine is designed in the UK, therefore superceding CA Australia's engine. Plus no further planned updates for M2TW.

- There was a great Australian company called Ratbag Games that bought out a series of Dirt Track Racing games (Best speedway games ever!) and when they were bought out, I think by Infogrames, as soon as the genre wore out, they closed the company down, leaving the poor Adelaidians without jobs. I'm just wondering if this may be the same move that Sega plans for CA Aus?

I'm not trying to raise concern, I'm just a little worried about these guys, who created a game that we all worship, losing their jobs. (and in turn possibly making the TW series exctinct).

Please someone correct me if I am wrong and I'll stop worrying.

(note - Pure speculation upon my behalf and I mean no offence to any CA guys out there who may read this)

In the past, CA UK has worked on the revolutionary games (ie new engine), and CA OZ on the evolutionary (think M2TW).

My guess is that the Aussie team will release another expansion for M2TW, then work on whatever the next TW game is after ETW, using the new engine.

In the thread about MTW2/Kingdoms patches (and the fact that there won't be any more), CA poster SenseiTW said

The Oz team have since begun work on a new project, which is why a previous post stated that at the present time there are no scheduled updates in the pipeline for Kingdoms.

So it looks like they've got something to do.
