Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

I do NOT answer PM requests for help with EB. Ask in a new help thread in the tech help forum.

Madmatg asked a question, you responded and quelled his (light-hearted) fears that the EB team was slacking off. He then thanked you for your troubles. I don't see anything discourteous about that.
Watchman helps and gets a balloon, this is okay, even great.
However, he said he had the impression we were slackers. I'd daresay there is some evidence of quite a bit of work done, regardless of whether there was an oversight on bodyguard upkeep or not. His comment is offensive to me. Yours is also not friendly, however is precise. I do not have much sense of humour left after reading the public forums lately.

People really stop making jokes and forcing the issue the internet can't convey tone or lightheartedness so read your posts aloud before posting and if they sound offensive you may want to edit them.
There have been a lot of flamers and trolls around using nonsensical arguments and pissing off people with good intentions trying to help and guys from the team doing their best to explain their choice. You may not have any bad intentions of course but don't push it.
Bovi is here everyday collecting reports and fixing most of them or at least offering an explanation I agree it is part of the job providing support but don't forget this is done in our free time and he's been doing a great job.
Totally out of topic but:
Cheer up team, despite some random untactful comments you achieved something so great that most other modding teams would be proud of having a fraction of...
I personally use EB as "historical" inspiration source (the brackets are there just because EB isn't a primary source, not because I don't think it's accurate btw) to push improvemets in XGM and I'm sure others are doing the same...
The best is yet to come.

Now on beta 3 with playable golden horde!
That's not what he said: he merely implied that he feared the team had slacked off in just this one instance. This is nothing like what you say.Originally Posted by bovi
I cannot apologise for my "tone", either; my tone has only ever been friendly towards the EB team, even when the EB/RTR relations were at their most strained. I simply believe that, at times, some members need to lighten up a bit. Yes, sometimes a harsh reaction is warranted - but this is not one of those times.
On the other hand, of course, people need to read posts less literally.People really stop making jokes and forcing the issue the internet can't convey tone or lightheartedness so read your posts aloud before posting and if they sound offensive you may want to edit them.
Absolutely agree. Having been involved in the RTR team both as a forum moderator and developer (though real life commitments have slowed me down to less than a crawl of late), I know all too well the unnecessary pressures Bovi and others are under and am grateful for their continued work.Bovi is here everyday collecting reports and fixing most of them or at least offering an explanation I agree it is part of the job providing support but don't forget this is done in our free time and he's been doing a great job.
I don't know about anyone else, but it's games like RTW and mods like RTR and EB that got me into history in the first placeI personally use EB as "historical" inspiration source (the brackets are there just because EB isn't a primary source, not because I don't think it's accurate btw) to push improvemets in XGM and I'm sure others are doing the same...![]()
@Qwerty - appears i need to look closer at unit sizes... the hetairoi kataphract seem to be a very small size unit, like the size of a generals cavalry unit(10 in the edu) so this cost is probably right on as long as that unit is the size its supposed to be

Of course it's tiny like a general's cavalry unit - it is one...
"Let us remember that there are multiple theories of Intelligent Design. I and many others around the world are of the strong belief that the universe was created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster. --- Proof of the existence of the FSM, if needed, can be found in the recent uptick of global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters. Apparently His Pastaness is to be worshipped in full pirate regalia. The decline in worldwide pirate population over the past 200 years directly corresponds with the increase in global temperature. Here is a graph to illustrate the point."
