EB does not change the executable, so that's okay.

Remind me again, did you try to install everything from scratch, and into a different directory than before? Did you try to rename all the map.rwm files to something else? Did you try to install both using the installer and by unpacking manually with 7-zip?

If you did, I'm running out of good ideas, I'm afraid. You could try to add -ne to the shortcut to run it windowed and see if it makes any difference, but it's a long shot if I could call it a shot at all.
