That bonfire won't make a big difference. The guys in charge are just trying to give themselves the feelgoods. Screw Global Warming, It's just an elaborate liberal hoax created to help them win elections. I had no problem with it when it just made people more concerned about the envirionment in general but it is just getting ridiculous.

Council blasted over bonfire ban

So they banned bonfires ...big deal ...oops no they didn't, they deided they wasn't building a bonfire at their event .
Anyhow if you want to get really traditional Apache shouldn't the effigies be hung drawn and quartered instead of burnt...I am surprised the CAPC havn't been calling for more un-PC celebrations , bring back traditional english celebrations with fun filled dismemberment of traitors for all the family .

Just wondering IA when the article says "critics" as that is plural does it mean that both the husband and wife from CAPC made complaints about pandering to foriegners ?
