For Polybian you need to conquer a few provinces and wait for 242 BCE, or just wait for 210 BCE. For Marian you need to conquer half of the world, have a super character and wait for 172 BCE. It'd be impossible to bypass the Polybian requirements. If you really did get the EB Marian reforms before Polybian, something went seriously *ping* in your game.

Press "print screen" on the upper right corner of the keyboard ingame. Then check "Rome - Total War\tgas". The pic should appear there as a .tga file. Try opening it. If you see only a black pic, open "paint" and press paste (Ctrl-V). The pic should come up. Save it (as jpg preferrably). Go to https://imageshack.us/. Upload the image and post a link here. The best way to prove that it wasn't the vanilla Marian is to post a screenshot of the current reform markers you see in your settlements.
