I didn't have any problem in IE7 and I'm using the Vista Firewall and standard settings.

And I meant Active-X, not XML.

I now found it doesn't work in the 64bit version of IE7 but you should only have that(and the 32bit version) if you have a 64bit Vista. Works fine in IE7 32bit.
