Problems installing Kingdoms

Can someone help me, it won't reconginise disk 1 anymore. I had trouble installing it the first time as it cut off at the crusades part installing and now it won't install or even recognise the disk. Any help would be appreciated, the disk is just about scratch free.

Budwise I have the same problem with my standard M2TW disc, though not on install, just when I want to play the game.

What I have to do to get the computer to recognise and my disc is:
Once I have the disc in the DVD drive, the drive will buzz around for about 2-3 minutes trying to recognise the disc, 9 out of ten times it wont. Then it will come up with an error message.
The next thing I do is go into My Computer on the desktop and right click on the DVD driver and press Autoplay. That always seems to get my disc working.

Maybe you could try that with installing? (once it autoplays it should start the install process).

Or alternatively if you have had the game for too long can you take it back to the shop and get it swapped over?

Hmm....I try to play the DVD on another computer and if that doesn't work and you are positive that there aren't any potential compromising scratches, go exchange it. If it does run well on other comps, then clean out your DVD drive I guess
