Funny that yanks use the participle of 'noble'.

Opps I was lookin for tThe drunkrds thread.

    Apologise all and sundry.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

This one is of course from the last bit of the seizing of that RN boat.

This one is from a few years ago and was made in reference to the Israeli/Palestinian fighting but I feel it still very relevant today and of course for more than that conflict.

This one is of course when the Bush adminstration finally decided to change a bit of what they were doing. I think this is from early '06, not sure though.

And then these two aren't cartoons but I post them anyhow because I think they make a point in the same manner political cartoons do. It's just pointing out the different covers of Newsweek and Time magazine when marketing within the US or abroad.

Four stage strategy from Yes, Minister:
Stage one we say nothing is going to happen.
Stage two, we say something may be about to happen, but we should do nothing about it.
Stage three, we say that maybe we should do something about it, but there's nothing we can do.
Stage four, we say maybe there was something we could have done, but it's too late now.

    that one that says

"we are no longer the knights who stay the course"

those knights in the back looks like teutons from the prussian crusade.

It's a spoof on the Knights Who Say Ni (nee? Nie?) from Monty Python's Holy Grail, and the knights in the background look almost exactly like those Knights Who Say Ni.

A little background on the historical truth of the Knights Who Say Ni.
