So, i know this isn't related directly to EB....but I need help

Anyway, I installed RTW and EB and when I try to finally get my hands on EB 1.0 it says ii failed to find DirectX 9. However I checked and I have DirectX 9.0c installed on my pc. What's going on????

AAaaargh, I want to play.

Perhaps you have an old DirectX9.0c? There are monthly distributions.

Well, Total War is an old game isn't it? And I didn't have this problem before, I just had format but previously 0.81 did just fine.

Can you run vanilla RTW? Could you try to download the latest DX distribution and install that, in spite of having one already?

No i can't run RTW. It seems to be a problem with my pc, not EB. I am going to try finding another version on the net.

EDit: I tried this link http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...ibutable.shtml, but nothing....:(

It seems it should work. So do you mean you've installed it with no success regarding RTW, or you didn't manage to download it?

You could possibly try to install a fresh RTW and see if you can run vanilla there. There might also be some helpful threads around the forums that can help you, or lucky hits on Google.

Does vanilla RTW work? Have you reinstalled it from scratch?

I am going to re install it when I find time...but i doubt if it will have any effect....thanks for your help bovi, I think that If I don't solve this I am going to format and get done with it.

Format? That sounds a bit extreme. Then again, it might be just the thing your system needs, I don't know.
