You don't need individual strength and not numerical superiority. The germans used cunning strategies and sneaky tactics instead of brute force, your warriors also had to cultivate for food in ver. Blitz em ^^

Until you get technology (reforms). Tigers Bears and Sheperd dogs.

I'd love to have warhounds back. A single dog as a secondary officer unit for some warbands would be great ;)

i do understand i know its not only matter of brute force and numbers you need to think haha but well sometimes too much thinking gets frustrating when you see celtic hordes filled with gaesetae its easy to beat them but it can get frustrating coz the brihentin are also strong i was looking forward to use the german pikemen they seem to be strng but well i will have to settle with the trans-alpine guys hahaha thanks for your responses!!!

    saludos desde mexico!!

The Chatti clubmen is in my opinion the best Germanic unit available! If you use it correctly and flank the enemy with them they are amazingly deadly. You can see the Triari drop like flies

Yeah an armorpiercing unit with mighty throwing arm which causes fear is always a good thing to have in your army.... :yes

As a Sweboz I'm able to recruit Appae gaedotos, the rhaetic phalanx with 4 experience - a great allrounder with decent armor, something which the Sweboz long lack. Great for defending and great for attacking when the time is ripe.

Personally I think that the Sweboz rely greatly on their javelins - nobody expect the Romani have so many mighty throwers. A hail of their framae from behind cuts down up to thirty lightly armored people.

Celtic, Balearic and Hellenic slingers are a great additon for skirmishing and for screening your lightly armored units, while one or two Ridanz are well suited for skrimishing, timed flanking and chasing.
