Jagged Alliance 2 : Wildfire

This is now an old game, released 2004, anyone got any idea if where I can get a copy in the UK? Or if its available to buy/download anywhere, Steam only has JA2 vanilla available

I've searched everywhere I can think of & the only place I can find to buy it is from Australia which seems a bit OTT

You're better off buying Jagged Alliance 2 Gold off ebay new for about a fiver. That's what I did. (Actually I bought it off Steam, it was buggy and incomplete and got a refund which was a miracle seeing as they're gits when it comes to getting your money back). Once you have JA2 Gold, go download the ever improving fan made 1.13 patch. It improves upon what Wildfire did and adds a hell of a lot of new features and modding capabilities. I sometimes think they're added too much though. Like a hundred extra guns you'll never need. But it definitely adds more to the game than Wildfire ever did.

There were some problems with Strategy First and the Wildfire developers I think that ended up with the mod being unavailable to buy. However, I remember a while back on the Strategy First website they were selling a pack of games which included JA2:Wildfire. Unfortunately it requires shipping the pack from the US so it'll still cost a bit. Not sure if they are still selling it.

I've already got JA2 & the Unfinished Buis. expansion, so no point getting the gold version. I was hoping Wildfire would be something a bit special...Guess I'll forget about it & have a go at the Urban Chaos mod. again.

Btw while I was looking around for this I found out they're gonna release JA3 end of 08, even a preview of it on YouTube, looks pretty good, allows you to zoom in & rotate the camera view.
