Thread: Anyone running this on a Mac thru Boot Camp?

Default Anyone running this on a Mac thru Boot Camp?

I'm a PC person, but I'm really fed up with Windows. I'm seriously considering buying a Macbook Pro. I've heard that Boot Camp will emulate very well. Has anyone tried running RTW or any Total War games?

    Edit:
    AWESOME!!! Look here: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/archi...p/t-66588.html
It will run RTW or M2TW. Thanks to Banquo's Ghost. The link above should be a sticky. The Total War franchise could now extend itself to the Mac folks. More gamers should equal more sales. I'm seriously considering buying M2TW now too. My old PC would never have run it.

    Hello Nakamura Lobato,

Those games demand some processing power and emulation wants some too, don't you have much lag?

I was considering to buy a MacBook Pro, due to it's superb design and super functionality, but I went for a 6kg DELL instead. Apart from the weight and sometimes for the Vista, the rest is awesome.
Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

I wish I could recommend a Dell. I have owned 4 Dell Inspiron computers and all of them have had ac adapter issues. If you do a google search, or look on Dell forums you will see what I mean. I have a friend who overses over 1000 laptops, and he recommend Dell Lattitudes and is unfamiliar with the adapter issue. Additionally the Vostro (sp?) is supposed to be reliable according to some tech reports. I was a computer and electronics tech for 20 years prior to grad school, so I really pay attention to those details.

Alienware is regarded as top of the line, and is about the same price as a Macbook Pro. If you wanting a gaming laptop, it's probably a better deal.

For me personally, I've had it with the whole Microsoft game of installing drivers, patches, ad naseum. I've been using a friend's mac for the last month, and not once have I had a hiccup. It's quite fine to actually have plug and play work automatically. I've been using computers since 32 years now, and seldom have I seen such an elegant device. It is a delightful to sit at a computer and easily intuit how to do something.

I play Total War once a week at most (now that's heretical ), but I use my laptop about 12 hours a day right now to study. For me reliabilty is far more important.
