Dead general bug

When playing as the independent Greeks I laid siege to Segestica with an elderly general at the head of a large army, unfortunately however that very same general died of old age the next turn. Even worse though is that when he died my entire army disappeared for some reason, but oddly the siege circle around Segestica did not go away despite no other army continuing the siege. Is this a known bug with a fix or has no one else heard of it before?

That's crazy, but not an EB bug. Never heard of it before, but only a game engine bug could do that. Can you find the army in the army scroll? It may just be invisible, maybe if they can take the town they will enter it and all will be well...

I already reloaded and it hasn't happened since. I just wasn't sure if it was a common bug.

Probably a disaster killing all the men but leaving the "shell" of the army. Install the permanent fixes.
