...et Boston delenda est.
Doing a phd in physics (not many people in science around here, why is that so :D).
Not having been around the EB scene for a while, I was gladly suprised to see that EB 1.0 is out, guess I'll try it in the next few days.
Anyways, cheers for the team after such a monumental effort![]()
Well everything seems to drown in the torrent of history and archaeology people around here. Kind of natural to have a lot of those in a historically minded mod of a (slightly) historically minded game.
Looks like the science people here are mostly some biotechies and a bit of geography and physics. I wonder where the chemistry people are hiding...

BTW (for those who don't live int he US, or live here but forgot) in the US you will NOT be denied health care. HOWEVER, if your not "under 18, or broke poor (recieves food stamps, etc), or dependent with a broke guardian" you will have to pay it AFTER care was given. Not before. If you don't pay it ur credit score get screwed up pretty bad.
-Now if u don't have health insurance, ur not any of the above 3, and ur injury does not require immidiate assistance you WILL have to wait a rather long time.

I'm doing a BA in Economics at York University.
I can also answer some of the rumors about our health care system since I live in Canada. First of all, it's NOT "free". I believe as much as 10% of the government budget goes to health care. That money comes from taxes. I don't like paying for old people's "health care" too much. I didn't use the system in years. I have flues, colds, so what. I don't endanger anyone.
And there's the "9 month waiting list" rumor. Yes, in some areas this is true. If you want to get a kidney replaced, or a new heart, some waiting lists extend into 9 months. But most of these people are old people who have already had 2 kidneys replaced probably, and while "life and death" they're just trying to dodge death. People die from kidney or heart failure people! It's a cause of death. A lot of people abuse the system, why not. It's the tragedy of the commons. I know friends who as soon as they feel bad about anything they go see the doctor. That includes getting drunk the night before, go see a doctor everything will be fine!
As for socialized health care doctors not caring, wow! Do you prefer a doctor who only cares after you pay him?
The best health care is good lifestyle choices. Don't eat Macdonald's for lunch then when you're 50 and have all kinds of health problems you give the bill to the younger generation.

had to bump this thread when i noticed a williams student amongst the posters. go ephs! :)
BA in geology from williams back in the day, briefly considered a PhD in comparative planetology before deciding to pursue a JD instead, which i am doing now.
now i'm here, and history is vindicated.
I finished college 2 years ago, then served two years in the army, and am now preparing to go to York University in the UK to start my history BA course in autumn. Hoping to do my Masters as well, and learn either Ancient Latin or Greek while there.
