    Default Uncomfortable Supervisor

For those of us who aren't fluent in EDUese, what are the triggers for this dastardly trait, and how do you remove it? At first, it seemed to only crop up in family members who were governing provinces (i.e. that they were uncomfortable at supervising), but then one gained the trait while outside of a city (i.e. that they are a supervisor who is uncomfortable doing otherwise). Which is it, and how do I make it leave my poor Pontic commanders alone?

P.S. For those of you keeping score on my rollercoaster Pontic campaign, Arche Seleukeia stabbed me in the back, and after a couple of Pyrrhic victories (with dead generals on my end), and a couple of less-Pyrrhic victories, I managed not only to survive the double-assault on Amaesia, but to go on the counter-offensive and seize, after quite a bit of hairiness, Mazaka and Ipsos. The Kingdom of Pontos stays alive another year!

    Cheers.

If you have a guy who likes governing a city, he will get the "Supervisor" trait. If he is in a small town or is fighting a war, he will then get "Uncomfortable Supervisor". If you want to lose it, just send them to a large city.

(I have also cheated to remove "Supervisor" when my main military leaders get the trait between campaigns. )

Ah, the size of the settlement impacts the governors--excellent to know. It's a shame my Pontic kingdom doesn't have any large cities (I think the largest is the recently-captured Mazaka, which is, not shockingly, already under countersiege). I suppose they'll just have to suck it up until some other cities flourish. Thank you.

    Cheers.

I would suggest "borrowing" a large city from your neighbours.

You people say as if Uncomfortable Supervisor is some crippling trait. If one of your generals get it, just work to acquire a city large enough to satisfy him. There's no need to go cheating in the mean time.

Good ol traits, you can't beat this level of roleplay/detail.
Would be good in an AAR, I captured huge city X and gave it to general Y to keep him sweet, see how I look after those under my care.

i think (but am not sure) that if a character get the supervisor trait you should send him to govern a large city until he recieves the satisfied supervior trait. once u claim that trait you can begin using him as a military general and he won't be getting the uncomfortable supervisor trait anymore.

I don't think anybody was suggesting cheating specifically to get rid of Uncomfortable Supervisor. However, as far as being crippling goes, while the other penalties are not over the top, you might have noticed that it (like "Restless Warmonger") carries a "-100% Bribe Cost". That's right, bribing an Uncomfortable Supervisor is free. And while the AI doesn't use bribery very often (though I have had it happen before), all it takes is that one time they get clever and you might have lost an entire city.

    Cheers.

Just move the governor to another city and he will lose the trait.
After some time he will regain it, but then you just move him again!

I recently got a happy supervisor trait in my Romani campain, that was a nice novelty :p
