What? You are telling me that after slingers deplete their ammo, it can resupply with stones during the battle? is this true? in which case? how does it work? does it have to be a rocky scen around?

I tend to use a lot of slingers in the early game, balearic and rhodian alike, they tend to kill the entire oposite army, so more ammo for these babies would mean a lot is this is true?

As far as I know, slingers cannot replenish their supply during a battle - regardless of the scenery. It may be sensible if they could, although it could end up being rather imbalanced.

You are right. Slingers have finite ammo like anyone else. Nor is it that realistic that they should be able to resupply: you'd need to find stones of roughly the right size and shape. Most slingers used lead or clay bullets rather than stones as well.

Haha... Sorry for having caused such irritation. The question was, " What would a unit do in reality? ". So my post was referring to reality as well. In game, they cannot pick up ammo. I thought this was clear.

Not that I ever play vannila, and indeed I only ended up here by acident, but IIRC (which it is true I probably don't) Rohdian a slingers do have infite ammo...
