Thread: restriction trait

    Default restriction trait

Does anybody know exactly what this restriction trait is about? I know that when you read it you lose like 45% of movement depending on the season BUT in others it just doesnt say that and my generals havent been ableto move at all for many seasons. As a matter of fact i have already many generals with such trait now which i didnt get to see in the 0.8 version. Is this normal, a bug ..... anyone else got this problem?
    thx

    Question need more info

You don't mean the scripted "wintercampaign restriction", do you?
Towards the end of the book, the Moties quote an old story from Herodotus:

"Once there was a thief who was to be executed. As he was taken away he made a bargain with the king: In one year he would teach the king's favorite horse to sing hymns."
"The other prisoners watched the thief singing to the horse and laughed. 'You will not succeed,' they told him. 'No one can.' To which the thief replied, 'I have a year, and who knows what will happen in that time. The king might die. The horse might die. I might die. And perhaps the horse will learn to sing.'"

Is it as the Seleucids? Because there seems to be a strange movement penalty bug with them at the moment...

    Romans are restricted in winter

If thats not it then it may be a bug or his trying to enter the Romes boarder line with a army (dont know if thats in the game or not)

My Seleukid leader has lost his ability to move. Not just for the New Years celebrations, but for every season. He's such a lazy bum.

THAT´S WHAT I´M TALKING ABOUT. I had 3 roman generals like that totally stuck for years till obviously got caught up by a passing troop and got their asses kicked. Is not just the general, is everybody under his command too. This was not in the 0.8 version. Must be a bug and a big one cos is now in 2 factions.............and counting.
