Assassination CTD

I experience a persistant CTD that I can only assume deals with assassinated generals.

My Parthian general ended his turn besieging Seleukia. Upon ending the turn, the AS sally foth. I notice that I have no general on the battle screen. Whether or not I win or lose, I get a CTD when the battle ends or the AS end their turn (respectively). I can only assume that it was an assassination because I have since bypassed this CTD because I luckily had a spy in that city so I could assault and found my general surrounded by no less than 6 assassins.

Note: I have not applied any fixes since I could have either abandoned the siege or assaulted and I just found out about them when I was posting this. Its was in no way unbypassable, infact I'm about a decade past it. Its just a rare but reproducable CTD I ran into. Please don't be mad at me for not toying with the fixes.

The general dies of an assassin, yes, but the game doesn't crash, at least not when I retreat from the battlefield and the script isn't running. Possibly some fix took care of it.
