Yeah, that movie looked beyond ridiculous to me... I am glad I didn't see it. I did like Gladiator and Braveheart though, but at least those movies didn't have mutants![]()

The phalanx is a tightly-packed group of men which doesn't always have to mean the typical Greek version. Caesar described the Gauls attacking in a phalanx and being slaughtered by pila and it has generally been accepted that they were simply in a tightly packed formation which i suppose they were going to use to push the Romans out of the way.
Just a little point to add to the pike phalanx and "typical" Greek phalanx discussion.
