thought i'd start a thread of for some talking about my favourite clan! The Egyptians have got great, low maintainance and cheap armies. Bedouin Camel Warriors, at 125 florins is an incredible bargain! They'll beat most beat most of the vastly more expensive cavalry unit and are now my favourite unit. Abyssian guard are cheap and effective, saracen infantry and the Muwahid are better than normal spearmen and show not much of a price raise for it. Bit of Ghazi infantry can really put a mighty sting in any army they face. i just love the eygptians!

Camels are a great bargain, but don't forget Mamluk cavalry with their armor-piercing bonus! Relatively cheap compared to knights, and swarms of them do quite well. Saracens are excellent infantry, as well.

I just wish the Muslim armies had better-quality heavy infantry/swordsman units (other than the Almohad Urban Militia). The Muwahids are okay, but Ghazis and Abyssinians tend to get chewed up rather quickly.

Has anyone tried out Nizaris and Hashishin yet?

Egyptian cavalry, HAH! They are little more than dog food before the Italian light infantry and Feudal Sergeants of Lord Machiavelli!! Thousands have died at his hands in 5 short years! Thousands more shall die in the next 5 years till all of the Egyptian "empire" is crushed!! It is possible to walk for miles on the rotting camel carcasses and their bedouin riders without your feet touching the sand into which their bodies sink. Egypt, schmeegypt.

"I request permanent reassignment to the Gallic frontier. Nay, I demand reassignment. Perhaps it is improper to say so, but I refuse to fight against the Greeks or Macedonians any more. Give my command to another, for I cannot, I will not, lead an army into battle against a civilized nation so long as the Gauls survive. I am not the young man I once was, but I swear before Jupiter Optimus Maximus that I shall see a world without Gauls before I take my final breath."
