Default Traveling in Eastern Canada - pictures

During the last three weeks Mrs Clegane and myself have been traveling around in Eastern Canada (i.e. Ontario + Quebec).

We had quite a blast - great food, (mostly) fantastic weather, very nice people and marvelous scenery.

Following are some pictures from our trip - starting with Toronto

Excellent shots, Ser. I could never take pictures as well as that.

Very glad you enjoyed your stay. We, and I mean the entire country, were delighted to have you here.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. It's always interesting to see one's home through another's eyes. What did you see in Toronto (I can only place one of your Toronto pics for sure )? Old Quebec City is a national treasure.

Quebec really is beautiful, I'll give you that. (But we can acredit that to the French )

Canada is a very beautiful country. I have lived there at times before in my life, in some of the places you posted, and I have visited all of them. Amazing pictures, and I'm glad you had the chance to experience what you did.

Wow. Ser Clegane, you really have the knack for finding striking patterns and colours in a way few photographers ever master. Some absolutely stunning photos there.

We walked around quite a lot in downtown Toronto - roaming the streets in general, did a bit of shopping in Eaton Center, walked through (and had a very nice dinner in) Chinatown, went to Kensington market, walked through Yorkville, visited Casa Loma and also went over to Toronto Island for an afternoon.
In addition we had the pleasure to have a Thanksgiving dinner with friends who live in Toronto

Quebec City certainly is a gem - and apparently it is getting polished even more for next year's festivities.

Ser, those are fantastic pictures. You once again demostrated you have a great "eye" for a picture. They are far beyond mere holiday snapshots. It looks like you saw some really nice places.

Ser those are beautiful photos. Some are very artistic, others look like they should be a postcard.

    What camera are you using?

Beautiful photos, very nice. Makes me want to go to Canada.

As has been asked before me - what camera are you using? Judging by the quality it's probably not a bog-standard digital camera, presumably something with a hefty price tag.

I am using a Nikon D80 - for some of the pictures (e.g., pic 3+4 in the last pic-post) I used a pol-filter on my "main" lens (a 18-75mm), which enhances the colors.

Believe me - I made plenty of those as well
The posted pictures are only a small part of what I have taken ... of course these are some personal favourites and not necessarily representative for the overall "portfolio"

    They are very nice nonetheless.
