Sauromatae Campaing set in 226bc on H/M.
http://rapidshare.com/files/66614724...matae.zip.html
Allies: Sab'yn
Enemies: AS, Baktria, Hai (the saka shares a long frontier with you and are protectorates from the AS)
After conquering the steppes and the Crimean peninsula I planned to move west and attack Hellas.
Unfortunately the Palhava made the mistake of attacking me and I had to destroy them. This lead to the infamous AS vs Sauromatae.
Ten years ago I have managed to sack Persepolis leaving everyhting in ashes while my horses ruled over those territories. In the meantime I allied with the Saka who were fighting the Baktrians and the AS. Together we could rule the east and ripe greek influence from the earth.
The Hai declared war on me and I sacked their northernmost province.
In the meantime the AS began to train more elite units whose armour I found too hard to pierce with my arrows and they managed to win control of Syria from the ptolomei.
One year ago my armies conquered Gabai only to be encircled by a stronger elite-infantry army which I won’t defeat on time.
Then the stupid AI made it’s appearance by making the baktrians attack me which led to the following chain of events:
1º The saka broke our alliance.
2º The saka became protectorates from the AS ( I don’t know why since they were winning both wars.)
3º The saka allied with the Baktrians.
I have played three more turns and I have lost Gabai to the AS and Antiochia Margiane to the Baktrians. The AS has offered me to become a protectorate of them, I refused but it may not be a bad idea to accept, destroy the HAI and then attack the AS by surprise....
This is one of the most difficult campaings I have played. My economy is bad even though I built every trade building I could. I’m surrounded by enemies, fighting a thre front war (saka on the east, Hai on the center and the AS on the south).
I hope you guys enjoy it.

Here is a save that I had uploaded for another thread, but what you might enjoy.
http://www.2shared.com/file/2446290/254bfa23/Spiel.html
Faction: Sweboz
Year: 230 BC
Difficulty: M/M
Settlements: 9
Cash: 12,975
Enemies: Arverni
Army: see below
The year is 230 BC and the Sweboz Federation is in some trouble. Can you help her out?
The Report
Two years ago the Arverni had send raiding parties across the border into Germanic Belgium. Our King, at the moment residing in Arctaunon, gathered forces from the western tribes and pushed the Celts back across the border.
Because rebell warbands appeared at the same time all along the southern border no reinforcements were at hand. So the King gathered what forces he had and invaded the Arverni lands on his own. When news spread on both sides of the Maas that Vesontio was the target of the campaign and that great plunder lay ahead, some forces of Belgian and Celtic mercenaries joined our army.
The war went well for the first year, and the Arveni King together with his eldest son and two relatives was caught off guard outside Vesontio, and all were cut down. The siege started, but then desater struck:
The new Arverni King had gathered a hughe army from their southern tribes, amongst them many of their naked fanatics, and advanced on our camps.
The Warlords adviced our King to lift the siege and attack that army as long as it was to far away from the town for the, equally strong, garrison to join the fight. But the King had news that supply was short in Vesontio and removing the army would only allow the enemy to strengthen his defence. Our army had occupied a strong position on a nearby hill, and the King was sure to be able to repulse anything the enemy might send against that position.
Some days later the Celtic host attacked that hill. The battle was long, hard and bloody, but in the end the entire field was covered with dead Arverni for miles and miles in all directions. We were just celebrating our victory, when the garrison sallied...
With not single arrow or javelin left in the entire army, and the men exhausted from the hard work, with many wounded or dead, our force did not hold for long but had to leave the field in great haste. But not all did get away alive: the King ordered his hearthmen to make front to hold off the enemy pursuit. None of these brave survived the day. The King is dead! The army is on the run!
-----------------------------------------------------
Situation
These are the survivors of Vesontio. They have to steal their way through Aedui (thanks to Bismarckaz the allies of the Sweboz) and hostile Belgian territory. It is clear that the three family members have brought gross shame on them and their families by surviving a defeat in which their king was killed. They should not be given a province or command of an army until they have not distinguished themselves in battle.
These are the two new Kings, acclamated by the Army of the Eastern Tribes in Silengoz.
And this is their army. It is the only one of the Sweboz Federation at the moment, therefore to be handled with care. Two rebell forces had been crushed, the third routed across the broder to the Boii. Will they come back? Or is it save to send this army West?
The entire western border is stripped from troops after the defeat at Vesontio. The land is laid open for an Arverni counter attack - or an invasion of these others that had recently appeared from across the Alps: the Romanoz. To make things even worse, there is strong rebellion going on in Germanic Belgium:
For the good news (yes there are some): The tribes have promised to replace the casualties of Vesontio and training of the new warriors is allready on the way. The economy is balanced and the towns are well delveloped, so you can concentrate on the war.

This has the Greeks in 242 controlling the northern half of the black sea and half of Sarmatia, who your at war with and have a shiny new army about to take their last 3 cities. The Seleucids are losing and most the other factions are expanding. You can recruit your best troops in the two crimean cities and cavalry *yay for noble horse archers* in your easternmost city

Hell I might as well post mine.
Overview: Hayasdan
Eight Towns controlled - Trapezous, Ani-Kamah, Armavir, Karkathiokerta, Kotais, Mtskheta, Kabalaka, and Uspe
Fairly decent campaign going; it's winter 246 and I am at a crossroads. I have two armies totaling 23 units at the border of Pontus and Seleuceia. I was planning to attack Pontus but found a number of Seleucid armies in my territory. One army in particular has double gold chev troops. Economy only making 1700 a turn but Trapezous has a barracks and temple that can be destroyed for roughyl 4200 mnai. No reforms taken place yet but can be foreseen in the next ten years easy. I am pretty sure I have not modded anything so should work with 1.0 no problem.

Something I found out with .sav files is that if you change the name, they don't work and are no longer .sav. This is true with Roma Surrectum and I assume they use the same format for EB
Do you find something funny with the name Biggus Dickus?
in the EB PBeM
Any good romani campaigns out there?

Does anyone have a decent Carthage campaign or a Macedonian/Epieros campaign?
Epeiros Campaign coming up for you. Conquered quite a part of Asia Minor, screens are in the x1.0 AI progress thread.
There we are!

Ok, here's my Romani campaign. VH/VH, Huge unit sizes. I did make some minor campaign map changes ("Sahara spike" in Africa etc), but all are savegame compatible. This time I zipped the files to make them smaller.
First save point, 196BC.
http://files.filefront.com/SPQR+work.../fileinfo.html
Sorry, no pic.
Second save point (187BC) that I thought had died but didn't - it would start to load, the faction icon would disappear and then it would go straight back to menu. Exiting revealed no error, but simply deleting map.rwm fixed the problem. Beware of the Ptolemies and the Suebi.
http://files.filefront.com/SPQR+dead.../fileinfo.html
Third save point, post-Marian (well, Octavian in this game), 164BC. I've re-secured the northern border and my measures of Suebic containment seem to be working. Now I just need to fend off those pesky Epeirotes, but that shouldn't be too hard.

Should have no problems at all holding off Gray/Yellow death while expanding in Greece. Many KH cities are lightly defended and Athens is under my control.
Getai are doing very well

It wasn't even a CTD, it was a map.rwm issue. I'll get the first link fixed in a jiffy.

Cool, and on a side note, those Ptolies look very very scary...
And is it just me, because ever snice 1.0 was released, the Grey Death has been replaced with yellow or blue respectively.
This is correct, we are swinging back to the old 0.74 balance.

I have 2 legionary armies in Spain, 2 in Macedonia, 2 in Africa fighting the last carthaginians and 1 in Cisalpine Gaul if I remember corectly or at least close. I think I already have all the requirements for the Marian Reforms.
