Im at the part where you need to climb to the roof of the church. Whats frustrating is that I cant even go back to where I had to run to the brother so I can learn how to run.

You might be able to find a log of what was said. Anyway 2.5 nanoseconds on google found a listing of the basic controls. If you set the default controls, hold the space bar (legs/feet) and that will allow you to climb.

Ive been doing that. Ive been trying all the different set ups for movement, nothing seems to work. Ive searched google for at least a half hour on how to do basic movements in AC2, but nothing useful has come up.

Right I just remembered something. You've got to hold down 2 buttons to climb/jump. And the tutorials don't tell you this. Hold down space bar AND either the right mouse button or F. Try both, but I'm reasonably sure it's F+Space bar. Which on the Xbox controller would be left trigger and A. Which is what I had to do to climb the whole game. And before you start flipping over tables in rage, it was designed to be played with a controller. And an Xbox controller can be used for the PC.

I'm quite stumped as to why isn't it working for you with a keyboard. (Directional key + high profile) pressed together gives running. Press a third key with these two, the legs key (all three pressed together) and you get free running.

    Edit:
You might want to try and map the 'legs' to something other than the space key. Just a suggestion, since space-bar sometimes does not work properly for me in games.
Also Assassins Creed games take a heavy toll on your RMB, due to the constant need for high profile mode...mine is pretty unresponsive now-a-days.

I couldn't find another Assassin's Creed thread, so posting this here. Freaky stuff I found in a blog over at the AC wikia.

    A post on Ubisoft forums.
    A credible source.
    And a third painting.

Alright, lemme tell you, in spoilers in case people dont want to know...
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
So a big part of the AC series is the "piece of Eden" which was in the shape of the sphere that is in the painting. Also Da Vinci is in the second two games, so fans of the AC series claim that the picture in black and white shows the piece of Eden, bringing forth the possibility that the whole Templar/Assassins story isnt just made up.
    Hope that made sense.
