You don't need it to install EB, but if you want to extract certain files, then yes you need it.

It's just that I wanted to install EB on some other PC that has no web access so I had a problem with my Win to extract EB10.exe and at he end of the extract process - it just says thatOriginally Posted by Admetos

Sounds like it has become corrupted on the way to your other computer. You should try again to copy it. But feel free to try with 7-zip as well of course.
