Default Can't give traits to characters

I adopted a character called Ivomagos doe Lugos as the Arverni of the ethnicity of the Aedui. I wanted to give him a hale and hearty trait and a good trader trait, but neither 'Ivomagos arvernidoeLugos' or 'Ivomagos aeduidoeLugos' works, it always says character not recognised. Any suggestions? I experienced the same problem as the Hayasdan with Arsham Hayasdanits, and nothing worked, not even 'Arsham', but about 6-7 turns later, 'Arsham' was suddenly recognised by the console as being the Hayasdanits person, without any surname.

Is it a problem with my syntax, or what? My starting family members can be given traits easily, as do those come of age.

The internal name IvomagosA is also displayed as "Ivomagos". That could be your problem.

How strange, even factoring in IvomagosA didn't work, but after I restarted the game the next day it works with just the old Ivomagos arvernidoeLugos. Strange.
