Activating script

I'm playing as Carthage and most of the time I have to activate the script twice for some reason. The first time I click the "show me how" button the date changes to 14 AD regardless of the actual year. Its only after I click twice that the adviser stops popping up.

Is this happening in the first load or just when you load a new game while already playing? If it is the second case it is a long know bug but little knowledge on how to solve it was apprehended ... just be sure you have the script running, sometimes it will take even more then two attempts.
