"Something can be done, by careful analysis, to sort out truth from propaganda and legend. But this is where the real difficulties begin, since each student inevitably selects, constitutes criteria, according to his own unconscious assumptions, social, ethical or political. Moral conditioning, in the widest sense, plays a far greater part in the matter than most people- especially the historians themselves-ever realize."

In my sweboz campaign, the stupid casse tried to invade my dutch coastline. With an army full of FMs.
To make a short story even shorter: I killed them all with my badass markomannaz general, and the casse were gone.![]()

Trying to invade the mainland at all is mindblowing, but an army of FMs?Originally Posted by Kampfkrebs

Haha...I've seen them do that too. When they get going, though...I've seen them become beasts.
I just noticed something weird again...
The Hai still only have the 1 province of Hayasdan, but they have a bunch of 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 stacks swarming all over it. Aren't they supposed to be the hardest faction ever to play in the history of TW or something? They aren't expanding and they aren't at war with Seleukia...they're just sittin' on the porch with a shotgun.
Every second turn 1/3 stack of Pontos is besieging Pella with full stack of my Romani.
When I sally out, they withdraw once they see my army outside the town.
The next turn they are having a rest and besiege again.
I do not remember how many times they are doing so, maybe it's time for a good ambush![]()

Strangest thing: as soon as Olbia became Greek (I think it was Getai before) a FM of Pontos marched all the way up there with a decent army, even though Pontos did not even controll Nikomedia. He did not attack the town but just stood there and turned the tiles black. After several years two other Pontic armies also made the journey and took Olbia. Again only a few turns later Pontos lost Trapezunt and Sinope to the Greek by rebellion...![]()
