Thread: Screenshots and TGA conversion / Question on Averni

Default Screenshots and TGA conversion / Question on Averni

I've been playing a very interesting Avernii campaign that I'd like to show (for AI purposes), dating around 235 currently (consisting of 4 AI factions controling parts of Italia, and Saka Rauka tearing up Baktria as one of the strongest factions). I thought I was taking screen shots, but apparently "print screen" isn't the right key. I'm sure there is a thread that I didn't find that has this question already. Sorry that my searching skills are subpar.

    My questions:

    1) How do I capture a screenshot in Europa Barbarorum (assuming it is the same as R:TW, but what is the method).

    2) What path does the screen go into within the EB directory?

    3) (Never mind- figured this one out)

Also, not related to screenshots, I'm playing as the Averni (sp). The reform event that supposedly allows me to train better armed troops has kicked in, and I now see two "age" events, one being age of Freemen, and the other being the one representing the reform. For some reason, despite having the type I Averni government, a local MIC that is maxed out, and waiting many years, I still can't build any of these reformed troops. In fact, the latest upgrade to the top MIC gave me no new troop types to build. What am I doing wrong, or is this a bug, or have these troops not been implemented? Thanks!

I would suggest getting something such as FRAPS for screenshots, as the RTW ones often don't work and have to be converted.

As for the reforms, the Celts have 2 reforms. The first one only give a few new units and not in all regions. The second one will give you all of the good Celtic heavy units.

    Alright, thanks!

I'll download Fraps and try posting the campaign (at least what I can salvage to make of the progression) over in the AI progression thread tomorrow.

Congrats on an awesome mod with the added benefit of allowing me to complete homework assignments during the down time.

Edit: Went ahead and tried it out tonight. Images are now in the AI faction progress thread. Thanks for the help!!

Another way of solving the problem with taking screenshoots is to run it with the -ne command in the EB shortcut - in a window mode - print screen button will work for sure ;)

In my case, if "F Lock" I can't take any screenshots. It has to be off.

I know RTW's built-in screenshot feature doesn't work very well with any level of anti-aliasing, as it often gives black screenshots.

I use FRAPs, and I use the GIMP to convert and edit....both are free, so no worries.
