    Default Roman Campaign Goal map

I am playing the Roman campaign and I was curious about the meaning of the black regions in the campaign goal map. Is it a glitch or do I have to do something special in those areas?

They're areas you have to 'sack'. That means you have to conquer them once, but you do not have to hold on to them.

Ahh, I see. Is it okay if you do chose to hold on to them though? Or do you actually have to let them go at least once or something?

No, you can hold onto them if you wish.

This may be an extremely strange question, but what happens when you meet your campaign objectives? Is the game over? I've never played through a campaign that far, but I've always been a little concerned that the game would end right when my empire was getting impressive.

The turn after you complete your victory conditions you get a pop up that says you've won, but you can still continue playing if you want.
