spartans = fair or unfair?

we all know spartans can be extremely dangerous on the field, but do u think the spartan hoplites unit is a little too powerful compared to all the other units in the game?

Not in my opinion, If anything the Roman units are over powered.

Hi all,

I think both spartans and romans overpowered..

In one of my LAN games, a guy took spartans, some createns and know spartan square, the game was unlimited money.

I guess that, I choose armenia, I choose catapract archers, armenian legions and 4 onagers.

Since he just waited, I surround him and pounded him with onagers untill ammo finishes, and attacked on one side with legions and on other sides with all my catapracts....

Result.: mass spartan rout..!

IN a Game Like that Hero, of course you would win. I would fight on Warman's8 Death Field with 88K with my Famous Selecuid Army, and I had a way to kill the Spartian Square easy.

But in a 12.5K game or 15K game, you can't get that many spartans to form a sqaure, which I won't advise doing anyhow.

I think Egypt is the most over-powered, compared to Rome/Greece in close 2nd.

I think it depends on ur fighting style me i love tearing through greek ranks with my roman infantry but i also love to tear through romans with my briton chariots it really depends on how u fight and what type of enemy ur fighting

Yea, it all depends on how you like to fight. I like to use spears to keep the Romans at bay.
