I love it. Not really a discussion but it needed to be said.

It definitely slows them down. They are no longer an inevitability, which is nice.
Agree with everyone above me. Also, giving those two pre-Baktrian provinces to the AS makes Pahlava more agressive towards the Grey Death.

I dont see why seluekids are referred to as 'the grey death' - all the v1.0 games i played they always got trounced.
now in v1.1 they fare a little bit better against the Ptolemies, but I have had no problem in dispatching them as Baktria.
I do'see why either, but anyway I should agree with you that in 1.0 they where greatly underpowered... Or maby the Ptolies where overpowered? Dunno, anyway in 1.1 I see the best AI ever so far (with BI .exe). The AS are quite strong now, they kicked the Ptolies out of Anatolia, are besieging the Cyprus and are quite able to hold their eastern provinces. It's basically me who tries to cripple them through FD as Makedonia.Originally Posted by Jorduan

The Grey Death - That is because of the horrors of 0.81 - wars with the Ptollies, the Hai, Pontos, Baktria and Pahlava did not stop the AS in many games from subjugating them all.
It takes some adjustment when you've grown used to a three province Baktria, but the Seleucids seem now to be in much more trouble than they were in 1.0, so once you learn the proper opening moves, I think it's possibly easier to play Baktria now. Incidentally, the Baktria guide up on the sub-forum is now very much out of date - it talks about the Yuezhi as a faction. Anyone got any plans for new guides?
