As far as armour goes, the gaesatea have been stated like any other unit. You see, if you have a large shield, the only part of your body that is truly vulnerable is your head. And as it happens, gaesatae head are packaged in a high-quality helmet with cheekguards. That's good for four armour points, IIRC. An extra armour point has been added to all barbarian units for balancing reasons.

aye but for the Gestae's 2hitpoints its kinda like

helmet = 8 armour
+2 armour for balancing

I think it's meant tto be their sheer unwillingness to obligingly die when you set a sword into their whatevers. I don't dislike any unit except maybe the Iberian Infantry.

Well, nobody would like to live with a sword in his gut. I disagree about the two hitpoint system too. And they weren't on drugs...

Edit: Ok, let me rephrase my last claim: I haven't yet found a source claiming they were on drugs, except another person on some other forum. And of the Celtic books I've looked through none mention gaesatae high on drugs..

The purpose of this thread is for people who have nothing to do with creating the (free) mod to single out the work of artists who have worked long and hard on their own proverbial dime and time to create the units for those same people to enjoy. This thread's mere existence is repugnant in my opinion and I'm actually embarassed that it has been allowed (and that I as one of the moderators have allowed it) to continue for as long as it has. I personally apologize to our unit artists for not closing it down sooner, but better late than never.
