    Default A Guide to Pronunciation

    Although a can recall a fair amount of Latin, my knowledge of Greek is very limited, and I know absolutely nothing of the Germanic Gallic, Iberian, Phoenician, African, Steppe, and other tongues included in EB minus what I've picked up. I cannot know if I am pronouncing any of these exotic foreign words correctly, however. For this reason I was hoping that there was a small guide to pronunciation of the basic terms in EB somewhere, or that someone could link me to an outside source. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    My advice for pronouncing proto-Germanic words and names; don't. I for one, prize my jaw.

    well said. unless you were raised with it as your mother tongue, i dont recommend trying to pronouce most celtic words. one of the most diverse and challenging languages around! being irish i wanted to learn gaelige (an irish variation of gaelic) but was scared away by the sheer vocab.

    The one field in which mankind has progressed since the ancient period, is that speech nowadays requires less jawbreaking tongue moves while it's still comparatively easy to distinguish the words from each other
