Reason for CTDs and glitches is buggy "eb/data/models_unit/ebmodel_hellenistic_cavalry_aspidophoroi_SOR__high.CAS" file (used by aspidophoroi and campanian cavalry). As a temporary solution, try replacing such references in DMB with something similar, like those of tarentinoi cavalry. You will get weird looking men, but no CTDs at least. Or you can replace textures as well to tarentinoi version. Or find better replacement candidate (eg some other "fs_hc_javelinman, fs_hc_swordsman" cav type in DMB).

Aha, so that's it then. Cheers Lgk. Bovi, I havnt gotten around to fixing the custom battle unit line up yet (campanians nowhere to be seen), so I havnt tested as per your request. Not sure if its a good idea to keep crashing the old girl anyway. I would put money on it being the campanians though, every time I use that unit I get the crash, never with any other kind of cavalry (even when used in the same battle as the campanians). Looks like we have our answer anyway.

I don't deal with model issues, but it's been reported in EBH with what's causing it, so we will probably nail it

EB Team Gentlemen

First of all thank you for great work. This is my first post although i am playing EB for quite a while with no several problems. I hope my post will contribute to the above stated topic.
I am playing as Epeiros and had the same reaction from my PC (shut down and restart) when in an battle outside Rome seconds before a unit of Campanian Cavalry (Romani) hits my Phalangitai Deuteroi line. I tried this battle twice and the same thing happen.
If you have any more clues how to overcame this, i would very grateful. thank you in advance.
