Romani CTD! PLZ HELP

Hi all,

In my romani campaign i am up to 230bc. unfortunately i had a CTD. i think it may have something to do with the North African settlement Sida rioting, as everytime it goes to rebels i have a ctd. i tried the first fix and then i couldnt even load my game without a CTD and i del the rwm file as well.
Sry i have not done the legwork any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also i tried the first fix and got rid of the map rwm... i had a ctd when trying to load the game so i havent tried the rest as i am too scared too! and i have tried the bug program as cited on the sticky-no luck rtw doesnt even appear! ITS JUST NOT BEEN MY DAY XD

PS this is THE best mod EVER! i can play this straight for unhealthy lengths of time fantastic job guys and most of it was done in ur free time one phrase: LEGENDS

The NOCD executable appears to crash when generating map.rwm, and sounds like your symptom. If you're using that, please restore the original 1.5 executable and run with the CD in the drive, then after the map.rwm is generated you can probably switch back to the NOCD to avoid wearing out the CD.

Um i am not using any NOCD software, i always use my cd. i have pmed you.... hope thats ok!

Do i have to delete all map rwm files without any fixes, last time i had to change the port kortous i cant remember which one and after i did that with the earlier builds i was fine.... maybe its that.

In general, I prefer to communicate through the threads here. This is because others can help you here too, and anyone else with your problem can find the solution here.

Deleting map.rwm files can't hurt (at least not renaming them), and you should indeed remove all of them including the ones in the vanilla structure.

I don't know what you mean with "change the port kortous" but I can't vouch for whether any changes you make will work. I suggest you change back whatever you did and see if you can get the game working again.

Anyway, I'll take a look at your game sometime. It can take a while, so you should start a new campaign in the meantime, or revert to an older save.

Right i will rename all the map.rwm files. the old ctd issue was the port where a certain ship would spawn and this would cause a ctd, however i am pretty sure this bug was eliminated in the later builds. i will start a new campaign in the meantime. i have reinstalled EB as well.
