Is there any way to make them less accurate or damaging? They are just too accurate and damaging. Its almost impossible to win a battle without losing over 400 men.

You would have to go into which every unit_prod text you wish to mod And then try to figure out what to do from there. I've never actually modded those texts files before, so I would have no idea what I'm doing.

They are supposed to be an uber-unit in a way. Actually the warfare of that era is supposed to be much more bloody than before so losses against and amongst line units will be heavy.
