Default And I thought this might be difficult...

I decided to play as Portugal, and go for a late-game slugfest with my Super Gunpowder units, whatever they are called. My goal was to complete the Reconquista, then crusade towards the Holy Land and base my empire there. I allied with Spain early on and let them have all the rebel provinces. I moved an army towards Cordoba and on that same turn, they moved the militias out and left only their age 60+ King. He died the next turn and left Cordoba undefended. I walked uncontested into Cordoba and then took Granada. Since Moors were basically destroyed (bankrupt), I decided to take Marakesh and Algiers before my Crusade, and did so. Damn those Sicilians! they have Tunis and pose a threat to my new African Empire. Next turn my diplomat who was trying to ally the Pope got a mission to talk to Sicily, he went to Naples and WOW, I gave them Trade rights, and got Tunis AND map AND tribute in exchange. For a faction left with only 3 regions (starting 2 + Cagliari) this seems like suicide, but I guess the trade routes were more important
btw Spain also go excommunicated and I could have easily taken Leon and Toledo but I decided to keep them as allies and build my African/Asian empire as much as possible. I will not attack France but instead go to the Holy Lands and expand from there into Egypt/Turk/Byz. Hopefully I will actually get to fight the Timurids.

Edit: And I got 5 Mailed Knights with Tunis. I'll disband 4 of them, but I got them.
