Custom Battle question

Hi there. I'm really enjoying EB 1.0, but I've noticed something weird re: Custom Battles. I selected the Romani, but when I got to the unit selection screen, I noticed that there weren't any Roman infantry units to choose from. There were two Roman cavalry units, but that was it. When I selected a random army, the infantry units were sometimes included, though they still didn't appear as a selection. I remember the same thing happening with chariot units in the earlier version. Any idea what the problem is?

There's a seperate EDU in your EB folders that needs to be replaced with the campaign one for custom/historical battles. Don't forget to backup first! (There are also a couple of batfiles available to automate the process for you. Check the forum.)

It is in the FAQ, it has been for some time:

Q: In custom battles or multiplayer the unit selection is missing units.
A: All of the regionals cause a problem for the custom battle / multiplayer list. There is a special EDU for custom battles / multiplayer in the "...Rome- Total War\EB\mp custom game edu" folder. Rename your campaign EDU then place the EDU from that folder into the "...Rome - Total War\EB\Data" folder. When you want to play a campaign again, switch back to your original EDU.
