great preview. I have one comment. In the description for the Cappadocian Cav. It mentions they are the Predecessors to the mounted elite Turkish Cavalry. That is not a correct statement, because the Turks were a Central Asian people who came to that part of the world in the 11th century AD about a 1000 years after THIS time frame.

I fail to see what one has to do with the other. Predecessor means came before, so all that implies is that the Turkish Cavalry was based upon this unit (as passed down and modified through the generations).

Well that is the thing, The Turkish Cavalry was not based on the Cappadocian Cav. The Turkish Cav. is based on the Greater Mongol/Tatar Cav. The Turks were originaly from the area of Mongolia. Cappadocian traditions are Greek/Anatolian in origin.

So what? Just because they came from the east doesn't mean they didn't adopt other styles of warfare because they found it was better. And by the time Turkish Cavalry came about (as we know it), they hadn't been in the east for quite some time.

Either way the unit is what it is, the description can be easily changed if you can find verifiable proof that Turkish Cavalry was based on Mongol and not some descendant of the Cappadocian Cavalry.

The Turks came in the 11th century AD to the area of Anatolia. THEY were related to the Mongols and Huns and Tatars. Look at or read descriptions of the Seljuk Cav, and you will see that the turks already had their cav before they started raiding into Anatolia Infact their cav was already very effective. Now going further, the Mongol and Tatar Cav is based on the ancient Iranian cav. ( Im talking about the Sarmatians, Kushans, and the other Iranian nomadic tribes of the steppes.)
