Great, sounds like we're getting good progress now. The revisions in between 1250 and 1275 are mostly to do with the Greek voicemod (and 1263 is identical to 1250 actually), but there's one intermingled change to unit stats and another adding the campaign difficulty description to the factions. I have a hard time figuring out which could possibly cause this ...

Could you update only text/campaign_descriptions.txt to 1275 and try that. I really don't think this is it, just want to eliminate it.

Also update export_descr_unit.txt to 1269 and do the same. I am more inclined to suspect this one.

If neither of those provoke the crash, it has to be something to do with the Greek voicemod.

bovi, after many tests, I finaly discovered the last version that works in my computer, is the version nunmber 1273.The log of the 1274 version complains
about diplomats. So, I created a text document that has all the updates from the 1269 version to 1274, where the game crashes here it is: http://rapidshare.com/files/88140493/ebtest.rar.html

Okay, so it has something to do with the greek voicemod, thanks. Could you try to update only the export_descr_sounds_units_voice.txt and export_descr_sounds_soldiers_voice.txt to 1274?

If that works, I'll make a version of the EDU using only the generic voices instead of the greek voicemod, for computers like yours. If not, it's harder as I'd have to excise the greek voicemod in its entirety .

Once you get this working, there's a beta version for you to test, if you care to .
