why are there no multiplayer AARs?

it would be cool there were some good breakdowns/aars (possibly from both sides) of battles.

I heard over at the center's forums taht it is because EB's government system would be all jacked up if the hotseat mod was used. But I do agree, multiplayer AAR's are very interesting, even in Vanilla.

Are you just referring to MP custom battles Runes? Because that could be done easily enough, would be quite interesting too.

Even if this could be worked around a MP campaign would probably be so difficult to organise and actually play over a decent amount of time that writing an AAR would not be a project to undertaken lightly. A shame would be a nice concept

You see no MP AARs because:

MP IS NOT WORKING

and I am supremely pissed off as you can see. MP is were I get my real EB fix. Nothing beats playing a Human player, with a limited budget, and even better is when 2v2 (although I have to do so) OH man...


Actually the issue with MP not working was solved BUT the factions are missing A LOT of units in the MP folders. although some factions are missing more than others ...

As you can see we have to wait UNTIL 1.1 comes out to play EB MP. I am sure the EB team WILL have it fixed by then won't u fellas?????

He doesn't mean a mulitplayer custom battle AAR (I believe). I think he means using the hotseat mod to make all factions playable in one campaign so multiple people can play.

oh shit, i wasn't aware mp was toast.

i've been finishin a .84 campaign and assumed mp was kept over.

well madmatg told me he got MP working.... but I am still awaiting confirmation of the faction unit issues.

In MP, many iconic local troops for each faction are missing (like classical hoplites for greece) and the Romans have no Romanunits except equites.

You just both put in the same multiplayer EDU. Oh and you also need the same version of the map.rwm. I don't see what the problem is?

From what they have told me it seems that the custom battle edus are broken, and don't have the full selecation of units avalible. But I find that hard to belive, as nobody has complained that custom battles are broken, and I ma sure somebody would have if they were....

It's not that the can't be played, it's just that many factions are missing iconic troops. The one example that sticks out are the Romans. The only Roman troops they can use in cussom battles are the generals and equites.

Read man. EB comes with a custom battle EDU and a Campaign EDU. Use the custom battle EDU and you'll get all your 'iconic' troops. Foot just explained this.

Because surely one of the mp people would have tried this, but they insist that they get sp edu rosters, so...?
